About Mount Pleasant (Charleston County)
Mount Pleasant, the fourth largest municipality in South Carolina, is east of the Charleston peninsula and separated from it by the Cooper River. Though considered largely suburban and known to draw families into it's extensive subdivisions and it's high achieving schools, Mount Pleasant boasts a rich history dating back to the 1600s and the town was central to important events during the Civil War.
